The ARCTOS™ rugged "Arctic Grade" wireless LAN module is designed for extended temperature applications commonly encountered in mobile, vehicle, industrial and military applications. This new high-speed WLAN module exceeds the high and low-temperature specifications of most commercially available COTS PC/104+ WLAN modules. Each modules is temperature tested and qualified to reduce risk of uncertainties inherent to statistical qualification methods. The ARCTOS high reliability WLAN module is based on a 6th generation Atheros chipset that is capable of high speed communication in 2.4GHz and 5.2GHz networks.

Meachical compatibility with PC/104+ and PCI104 systems is guaranteed. The module additionally supports operation from a PCI 3.3V or 5V power supply and the module can be used as an expansion board together with all Eurotech PC/104+ or PCI104 CPU modules. The radio frequency section of the ARTCTOS WLAN module is completely shielded and potted with a high endurance humidity proof compound making this module extremely reliable in high humidity/condensation or vibration installations.

Extensive driver support is available for Windows® and Linux operating systems. The MadWiFi Linux driver is capable of supporting acsess point operation. Development systems including dedicated antennas are available. Contact Eurotech for more details.
