The Eurotech CTR-1462 CARDBUS interface board brings high speed PCMCIA performance into embedded systems. A single card slot accepting type I, II or III cards is selected to increase ruggedness. This low power board combines support for legacy 16-bit PC Cards (PCMCIA) using ISA interrupts as well as 32-bit CARDBUS cards configurable for PCI interrupts.

General application areas of the CTR-1462 board are in removable system expansion such as with mass storage media, Wireless LAN, GPRS, CDMA2000 or 3G UMTS Cellular modems or Bluetooth interface cards as well as GPS receivers. Extensive driver and software support is available for the RICOH CARDBUS host controller chip for most popular operating systems. Compatibility with Windows is guaranteed with native driver support. The PCI bus is +3,3V powered and is +5V tolerant. Both +3,3V and +5V cards can be live inserted into the locking socket. The onboard programmable +12V Flash voltage programming voltage generator is provided for +12V memory cards. System configuration options are maximized by the support of both ISA and PCI interrupts in parallel.
