General Description:

The SBC-GX533 is an ideal upgrading path to replace an old Geode GX1 processor based product with a new high performance and low power design with improved features and enhanced peripheral connectivity. The Eurotech SBC-GX533 has been optimized for module thickness making this module the ideal choice where a stacking cube structure is not possible. High peripheral device integration reduces board count to a minimum, the PC/104+ bus can be used for board-level user I/O expansion. Removable peripheral cards such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS can be connected the the onboard 16-bit CF+ interface slot.

This advanced low power embedded +5V only EBX form factor single board computer (SBC) is built around the new AMD Geode™ GX533 1.1W 400MHz processor. Compatibility with commercial operating systems such as Windows CE® & eXP®, VxWorks®, Linux® and QNX® operating systems is guaranteed. The new internal architecture of the Geode™ GX533 processor provides a significant performance gain compared to the old GX1 without adding to the power consumption.

Suitable applications for the SBC-GX533 include mobile display-computer systems, real-time industrial control, process automation, digital video and multimedia data acquisition, in-vehicle electronics networking and wireless communications.

A wide operating temperature range is achieved with a low power design allowing fan-less or structural passive heat dissipation of the system. The SBC-GX533 is available with a -20°C to +65°C temperature range. Up to 512MB DDR memory is fixed on a SODIMM socket on the bottom side of the module. Mass storage can be implemented using the onboard solid state Flash Disk (32MB) for the OS, USB2.0 memory/HDD such as the RSU-USB or installing a CF-card into the onboard CF+ slot.
